 Once
upon a time I came to the realization that yes, you can win an ex back. Hell,
I did it just for revenge (oh, mean, mean me!). I also wrote the book on
how to do it way back in the early 90s. Since then there are hundreds of
plagiarized, reworded, poorly written copies of the same material out there.
Some okay, most pretty poor. Just go to google and put in "win an ex back"
and you will come up with dozens and dozens of them. Not a one of them, though,
is probably worth your time, money, or effort!
Why you ask? Because if you are broken
up you are broken up for a damned good reason! And if you want to win your
ex back, then the odds are they are the one that chose to leave YOU, and
not the other way around. But the big thing is that for some reason the
relationship did not work out, and if you think about, you know the
reason why. Underneath all that denial you are living in, the relationship
was faulty or flawed and winning your ex back is NOT going to save the
relationship. Albeit, you might be saying right now "but now I know what
went wrong so now I can go back and fix it." Nope! It's not fixable.
The big question is why you want to win
your ex back to begin with? And I know the answer to this
question!
Because you relied too much on him/her,
and the relationship, to make you feel whole. Now that the relationship is
over, you do not feel complete. You also got into the 'habit' of him/her
in your life, and the lifestyle of being a couple. Now you are forced to
break a habit, and that isn't an easy thing to do.
When relationships end and we
are 'dumped' the rejection causes a HUGE loss of ego and pride. We will
do just about anything to mend our damaged self-esteem, and winning them
back sometimes seems the only solution.
Additionally, when someone breaks our
heart we tend to give them more 'power'. They subconsciously become a Supreme
Being in our eyes because they were able to inflict such horrible pain on
us.
Well, guess what - they are not your Upper
Power; 'habits' that are broken are soon forgotten about; pride is mended
only by holding your dignity and not chasing after them begging them to pump
air back into your lungs; and dependency upon another to make your life complete
will always make you feel panicky at the thought of being without that 'One'
that holds you together.
We know that it is hard to be happy when
your whole world is turned upside down without them by your side. Most
likely if your ex initiated the breakup they are handling it better
than you. They know that they could probably win you back if they wanted,
and they are not dealing with the pain of rejection or of abandonment as
you may be. Add to this, they might be in a 'pulling away' mode, which takes
some strategic actions on your side to get them to come back around to wanting
to be near you and not 'away' from you. This is discussed more at

All in all, though, the breakup happened
for a reason, and, while you may be able to win an ex back, the question
will still remain: Why would you want to be with someone who clearly doesn't
want to be with you? You must examine whether your motives for wanting to
win your ex girlfriend or ex boyfriend back is based more on your uneasiness
with the ego-crash caused by the 'rejection' rather than the need
to save the broken relationship because your ex was simply the greatest
person to ever walk your earth.
